The opening ceremony hosted the crème-de-la-crème of the society, celebrities, top executives, humanitarian/service organisations, Nollywood personalities, Artistes and Comedians of the Federal Republic of Nigeria amongst others.

Monday, 3rd of October, 2016, saw the Event centre come alive as it was opened in Grand style with attendance from personalities including Pastor Tony Rapu and his wife, Pastor (Mrs.) Nkoyo Rapu, veteran Nollywood actor Emeka Ossai and his wife, Jumai, the foremost Nation Builder and Leadership Expert, Fela Durotoye, Segun Oladipo, and many others.

Chocolate City’s acts thrilled the guests with great performance. The atmosphere was a mini-concert of sort as popular comedians of the Federal Republic took turn to entertain the guests from Senator, to FunnyBone, Dan D’Humorous, Davidson, Longman and Mimic-O to numerous rib-cracking jokes throughout the event. Music was by DJ SKY who held the Turn-Table down.

In her remark at the event, Adetola Juyitan who has spent over a decade in the banking Industry revealed that Glitz came from a place of passion. “The Glitz is a spectacular event centre with an edge: established to deliver the industry’s finest level of expertise to small, medium and large organizations, specialist groups and discerning individuals, who desire the perfect venue for their events”.

She further stated that there is a plan to replicate Glitz in several other states and countries in the next few years.

The Glitz Event Centre is located at Block 2 Plot 2, Okunde Blue Water Scheme, Opposite Vantage Beach Hotel, off the Lekki 2nd Roundabout in Lagos.
