The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, has been officially named Grand Patron of the Bodex Social Media Hangout (BSMH), a leading media engagement platform promoting responsible social media use across Nigeria. The announcement came during a courtesy visit by the BSMH team to the Governorโs office in Lagos ahead of the upcoming 6th edition of the event.

The BSMH delegation, led by its convener Bodex Hungbo, presented the Governor with an honorary plaque and invitation to attend the next edition as the Keynote Speaker. During the meeting, Hungbo commended the Lagos State Government for its continued support of media innovation, youth empowerment, and digital inclusivity.
Lagos Backs Responsible Media and Youth Development

Governor Sanwo-Olu, while accepting the Grand Patron title, expressed appreciation to the BSMH team for its commitment to fostering social media awareness and digital literacy. He noted that Lagos remains โthe heartbeat of innovation and creativityโ and reaffirmed his administrationโs dedication to supporting initiatives that encourage constructive online dialogue.
The Governor was also presented with the โMost Digital Media Friendly Governor of the Yearโ recognition, honoring his administrationโs strides in tech-driven governance and open communication with citizens.
The upcoming edition, BSMH 6.0, will explore the theme โSocial Media and A.I Influence: Transforming Yourself, Services, and the Society.โ The theme highlights the role of technology and artificial intelligence in shaping human behavior, creativity, and professional growth in todayโs fast-changing digital space.
The BSMH initiative has grown into a major national platform that unites media professionals, influencers, content creators, and students to discuss the evolving impact of social media. The Lagos visit marked another milestone for the team as they continue their mission to bridge the gap between online engagement and real-world impact.
