Kunle Afolayan has released another episode of his Film Masterclass where he talks about sound design and music in filmmaking. He mentions that sound in filmmaking is much more than the music and the sound effects in a movie. Using “The Figurine” as a template, he explained the various sounds that made the movie an unforgettable experience.
Ranging from the location and background sounds to the music and the occasional sound effects, he emphasized the importance of each in proportion and at the right moment. He also stressed the importance of a good sound from the location, not too overwhelming (noisy) but just enough to have a decent and original final product.
