Jowizaza’s Father Regains Freedom After Reported Kidnap in Anambra

Jowizaza’s father, Chief Joseph Ebere Ezeokafor, has reportedly regained freedom after kidnappers abducted him in Anambra State. The 74-year-old businessman reportedly returned home to Ekwulobia, where relatives and community members welcomed him warmly.

Emotional scenes reportedly followed his arrival, with family members embracing him while others danced around the billionaire businessman. He was reportedly abducte on the 5th of August while he prayed alone at a Catholic site in Awka.

The kidnappers initially demanded ₦700 million before allegedly increasing their ransom demand to ₦1.5 billion. Details surrounding the negotiations remain unclear, while authorities have yet to publicly confirm every claim surrounding the reported incident.

Chief Ezeokafor founded Jezco Oil and built a major business empire spanning petroleum products, lubricants, manufacturing, and related ventures. Jowizaza’s father is also widely known as the father of Nigerian businessman and socialite Joseph Ezeokafor Jr., popularly called Jowi Zaza.

His release has brought relief to his family and community, although questions remain about the circumstances surrounding his abduction.
