In March Adventure Time hits Africa by storm!

The Land of Ooo is backโ€”and this time, Cartoon Network is delving into the complicated and mysterious past of one of Adventure Timeโ€™s most intriguing characters, Marceline the Vampire Queen. โ€œStakes,โ€ an eight-part journey into the diary of Marceline the Vampire Queen, is the latest in a long line of must-sees from the prolific BAFTA and Emmyยฎ Award-winning Adventure Time team. Viewers can sink their teeth into โ€œStakesโ€ with first two episodes sneak peek on the Dstv Catch Up from the 5th of March. A special weekend event will broadcast the entire miniseries, with the four episodes airing on Saturday 19th of March and Sunday 20th of March. ย 

Marceline the Vampire Queen wishes to be an undead, red-sucker no more, but can Princess Bubblegum concoct a cure? With talent Olivia Olson (Love Actually) voicing Marceline and Rebecca Sugar (creator of Steven Universe) joining the cast as Marcelineโ€™s mother, the miniseries promises to celebrate womenโ€™s day on the 8th of March on the DStv Catch up.

And there is more! New episodes from Season 6 will be launching on the 07th of March, and a special stop-motion episode โ€œBad Jubiesโ€ directed by Kirsten Lepore will offer viewers a chance to discover for the first time ever the flourishing world of Ooo through the medium of Stop Motion animation, with characters and backgrounds harboring brand new weight and textures.

A modern day fable, the Emmyยฎ and BAFTA Awardโ€“winning animated series Adventure Time has become a global success since its premiere in 2010, attracting adult and kid viewers in their millions. It follows the adventures of best bros Finn the Human and Jake the shape-shifting dog as they navigate the mysterious Land of Ooo, alongside many other popular characters including Princess Bubblegum, Lady Rainicorn, Lumpy Space Princess, the Ice King and Marceline the Vampire Queen. Created by Pendleton Ward and produced by Cartoon Network Studios, season six is currently airing across Europe, the Middle East and Africa and season seven will premiere in the region this spring 2016.
