Internationally renowned Afrobeats superstar, Damini Ogulu better known as Burna Boy has sparked massive reactions online with a comment he posted on his Insta-Stories hours after the controversial rapper, Speed Darlington was released from prison.
OSG recalls reporting when controversial Nigerian rapper and skit maker, Akpi, was granted N20m bail and released from Kuje prison after spending two months in custody for defamation and criminal libel by Grammy Award winner, Burna Boy.
Akpi’s release went viral last night, January 21, 2025, after one of his lawyers, Stan Alieke shared a picture of the musician along with a couple of other men having a conversation in his office.
Nearly 24-hours after Speed Darlington was released, the alleged instigator for his arrest, Burna Boy, has reacted to the rapper regaining his freedom.

The Nigerian singer left many stunned with his reaction as his colleague, Speed Darlington, finally regained his freedom. In his post, he warned the rapper to tread carefully and shouldn’t do anything that he might find offensive.
Burna Boy also left a note of warning to anyone who might think of crossing him. Read a full excerpt of what Burna Boy said:
