Iceland has named a new Prime Minister following the resignation of Sigmundur David Gunnlaugsson.
Gunnlaugsson stepped down on Wednesday after protests began on Monday following his implication in the Panama Papers scandal. Gunnlaugsson’s wife was revealed to have held millions in debt from failed Icelandic banks.
The 53 year old monsiter of Agriculture, Sigurdur Ingi Johannsson, has been named Prime Minister.
