Determine what you can control, stop worrying about things you won’t changeย like the weather and worry instead if you have a raincoat or an umbrella.
Focus on your influence. What can you do? A situation is never really out of control, just pick the parts you can influence.
Identify your fears.ย What are you so afraid of? What are those worse case scenario you wish to avoid? When you identify them, you know how best to tackle them.
Differentiate between ruminating and problem-solving. Stop turning the situation around in your mind, identify a solution and put it to action.
Create a plan to manage your stress. Stress is inevitable but can be managed too, find ways to keep your stress level low, find an activity that relaxes you.
Develop healthy affirmations. Be positive! Believe you can solve the problem, believe you can stop worrying and most of all believe that things will get better.
