HOW TO KEEP AN HEALTHY RELATIONSHIP WITH YOUR SIBLINGS

Siblings’ fight happens occasionally; however you do not have to be at war with your siblings. Here is how to keep an healthy relationship with your siblings:

  1. Avoid contentious issues. When you come together avoid issues that destroy the peace.

  2. Set common goals. When you have goals in common, it fosters a camaraderie, a good feeling of companionship especially when you both achieve it.

  3. Keep in contact, close contact. Open the communication lines and make sure they stay open to you without a threat of reporting them to your parents.

  4. Don’t compare yourselves. This is important, everyone moves at their own pace and unfavorable comparisons can only engender ill will

  5. Heal from past issues. Talk about issues in the past that are likely to cause estrangement, don’t be accusing or passive.
