First-round Grammy voting opened October 12, beginning the process that will determine nominees for the 2027 Grammy Awards across categories. The Grammy voting period runs through October 22, giving members ten days to select artists and recordings for Grammy nominations.
The 2027 Grammy nominations announcement is scheduled for November 16, when the Academy will reveal contenders across all 100 categories. This important stage follows months of submissions, allowing Recording Academy voting members to recognize outstanding achievements across the music industry.
Artists, songwriters, producers, engineers, and other eligible music professionals now have a crucial role in shaping the upcoming nominations list. Unlike public popularity polls, Grammy nominations reflect votes from qualified Recording Academy members, who assess recordings within their areas of expertise.
Music fans worldwide will watch closely as the Grammy voting process determines which releases and performances earn recognition this awards season. The upcoming announcement could spark conversations across social media, especially as listeners compare their favourite artists with the eventual nominees.
Several genres will compete for attention, including pop, rap, R&B, country, rock, gospel, jazz, and other musical categories represented at the Grammys. Beyond individual artists, the nominations also recognize producers, songwriters, engineers, and collaborators whose contributions help bring recordings to life.
The Academy will announce the complete nominations list on November 16, giving artists and fans a clearer picture of this year’s contenders. After nominations arrive, final-round voting will run from December 10 through January 7, determining winners across the Grammy categories.
Music’s biggest night will follow on February 7, 2027, when the 69th Annual Grammy Awards celebrate achievements throughout the recording industry.
