On Wednesday, May 12, 2021, a major cabinet reshuffle saw the sack of 20 out of 28 commissioners of the Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma.
Uzodinma previously said that some of his appointees were sabotaging his administration.
During his cabinet reshuffle, the governor named new Commissioners for the Finance and Health Ministries.
Uzodinma said in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Nwachuku Oguwike, that he wished the affected appointees success in their future endeavors.
The ministries of Health, Youth and Sports, Tourism, Information and Strategy, Woman Affairs, Works, Finance and Technology were among the eight listed commissioners who were not affected by the announcement.
