Google Reveals $94 Billion SpaceX Stake Following Historic IPO

Google SpaceX shares have reached a reported value of $94 billion following SpaceX’s successful June 2026 initial public offering and latest filings. Google disclosed the updated valuation in its second-quarter SEC filing, highlighting the remarkable growth of its long-term SpaceX investment.

The technology giant invested approximately $900 million in SpaceX during 2015 before the aerospace company achieved extraordinary market expansion. That investment has since grown into an estimated five percent ownership stake despite dilution following SpaceX’s merger with xAI.

The latest valuation underscores SpaceX’s transformation into one of the world’s most valuable technology and aerospace companies through sustained innovation. However, approximately $80 billion worth of Google’s holdings remain subject to lock-up restrictions that prevent immediate public market sales.

Those restrictions temporarily limit Google’s ability to liquidate most of its shares despite the significant increase in their market value. SpaceX stock has also fallen more than forty percent from its post-IPO peak, reflecting continued volatility after public market debut.

Even with the decline, Google’s investment remains among the company’s most successful strategic technology holdings over the past decade. Google SpaceX shares demonstrate how early investments in fast-growing private technology companies can generate extraordinary long-term returns for major investors.

Analysts continue monitoring SpaceX’s market performance as investors assess future growth opportunities across space technology, satellite communications, and commercial space exploration.
