The 6-year-old daughter of George Floyd, has been given a full-ride scholarship to Texas Southern University, the Houston school announced on Tuesday.

In a statement published on the school’s website, the Board of Regents of TSU honored the memory of Gianna Floyd’s father by approving a fund in conjunction with the Foundation Board.

It comes after Kenya West offered to set up a college fund for the little girl whose dad was killed when Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin kneeled on his neck for almost nine minutes on May 25.
