The 27th edition of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards is set to celebrate some of the biggest songs across Africa, with the “African Song of the Year” category packed with major hits. Nigerian artists dominate the list once again, showing their strong influence. At the last edition, “Tshwala Bam” by Titom, Yuppe, and Burna Boy took home the award.
Davido leads this year’s Nigerian entries with two nominations, including “With You” featuring Omah Lay, a global hit that earned a Grammy nomination, and “Nakupenda,” a vibrant collaboration with South African duo TXC and others.

Other nominees include Rema’s “Kelebu,” Fido’s “Joy Is Coming,” and “Laho II” by Shallipopi and Burna Boy,
alongside two-time Grammy winner Tyla with “Chanel.” With such a strong lineup, the race for the award is wide open.
At the previous edition of the awards, the honour went to “Tshwala Bam” by Titom, Yuppe and Burna Boy, further showing the growing influence of African collaborations on the continent’s music scene.
