FIFA Extends Suspension Of Jerome Valcke

FIFA’s ethics committee has extended the suspension of General Secretary, Jerome Valcke by 45 days.

Valcke has been fingered in the corruption scandal rocking the football world governing body.

A statement by the ethics committee said “The adjudicatory chamber of the ethics committee chaired by Mr Hans-Joachim Eckert has decided to extend the suspension of Mr Jerome Valcke by 45 days, at the request of the investigatory chamber,”

Valcke was initially suspended for 90 days on October 8, 2015 for an alleged involvement in a $10 million bribe paid to Jack Warner.
He was also allegedly involved in a world cup ticket scam in which tickets were sold on the black market above their face value.
