Federal Government has finally revealed that the proposed minimum wage for civil servants will be 24,000.
Chris Ngige, Minister of Labour and Employment disclosed this on Monday at the State House, Abuja. He went further to share that the federal government has proposed to pay its workers 24,000 while the state government would pay 20,000.
He stated that the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) are willing to go as low as 30,000, while organized private sector came down to 25,000.
This new development came after President Muhammadu Buhari appointed a committee to negotiate on the minimum wage.
