Mark Zuckerberg and Facebook strongly believe that the future isn’t virtual reality headsets but smart glasses which combine virtual and augmented reality.

At the company’s annual F8 developer conference, Zuckerberg said, “Augmented reality gives you the ability to see the world, but also deliver overlays on top of the real world,” as he showed off the concept for a pair of smart glasses.

The smart glasses will be able to combine virtual and augmented reality as Facebook ships its first back of Oculus Rift- a virtual reality headset today.
