ARSENAL owner Stan Kroenke believes you should not get involved with a club if you just want to win championships.
The American billionaire was speaking about ownership at the Sloan Sports Conference in Boston.
Arsenal are currently third in the Premier League, eight points behind leaders Leicester City.
And, despite this being touted as the year Arsene Wenger HAD to lift the title with all the usual challengers flopping, Kroenke revealed strong business foundations remain the priority.
He said: “For me, being an individual owner, I have to have some sort of reality involved.
“If you want to win championships then you would never get involved.
“I think the best owners in sports are the guys that sort of watch both sides a bit.
“If you don’t have a good business then you can’t really afford to go out and get the best players unless you just want to rely on other sources of income.”
Kroenke has interest in the area as his NFL side, the Los Angeles Rams, are based there.
The sports mogul, who said he has also looked into buying a cricket team, added: “I mean the Rams are, theyโre noteworthy over there because of Arsenal and all that plays.
