SONS OF THE CALIPHATE, EbonyLife TV’s new political and cultural series premieres tonight. The 13-part drama series about the lives of three rich, passionate and ambitious young men who are caught up in the hidden corners of power, the darkness of addiction and the obligations of family loyalty promises to take the audience on a journey into the rich, cultural and flamboyant aristocratic lifestyle of Northern Nigeria.
We are introduced to the worlds of Kalifah, Nuhu, Diko and the beautiful Binta and join them to navigate the treacherous waters of corruption, assassinations, betrayals and love. What will happen when politics and personal interests pit these new faces of the Northern elite against each other?
Sons of the Caliphate stars Patrick Doyle, Mofe Duncan, Sani Muazu, Rahama Sadau, Paul Sambo, Yakubu Mohammed, Yvonne Hays, Nita Byack-George amongst others.
The show was created, written and produced by Dimbo and Karachi Atiya. Patrick Doyle, who plays Alh. Umar Loko said, “Hopefully it will give Nigerians the boldness to resist feudal oligarchs. I particularly liked the premium quality and attention to detail by the Producers and the professionalism of the entire crew.”
