Lagos State Health Commissioner, Prof Akin Abayomi, has said a Dubai-returnee, who died while observing a 14-day supervised quarantine did not die of coronavirus.

The commissioner, who stated this on Thursday evening via Twitter, said the COVID-19 result carried out on the 32-year-old male returned negative.

Abayomi had announced on Tuesday that the dead person died of coronavirus complications.

He, however, later stated almost immediately that the COVID-19 test result of the fellow was being awaited.
