The American Republican Presidential Primaries yesterday saw controversial businessman, Donald Trump take the lead by huge margins once again in Florida.
With wins in North Carolina and Florida, the Trump train seems to be coasting right along to clinch the Republican nomination ahead of rivals Ted Cruz and John Kasich. Despite losing in Ohio, Trump won all the delegates in Florida to ensure that his Ohio loss didn’t matter too much.
The biggest loser of the night was Marco Rubio whose loss in Florida meant that any realistic chance of picking up the Republican nomination has faded into the realm of fantasy. He announced the end of his campaign yesterday following a poor performance in Florida.
John Kasich fared fairly better with a comfortable win in Ohio even though Trump’s closest rival is Ted Cruz who split the delegates with Trump in North Carolina.
