Nigerian disc jockey and producer, DJ Tunez, has reunited with Grammy-winning Afrobeats star Wizkid for a brand new single titled “State of Mind”.
Released over the weekend, the song is already gaining momentum across major streaming platforms, with fans praising the duo’s signature chemistry and laid-back sound.
Built on smooth electronic production and rich Afrofusion rhythms, “State of Mind” captures a calm, late-night mood, with Wizkid delivering his trademark soothing vocals over DJ Tunez’s polished beat arrangement. Within hours of its release, the track had already pulled in hundreds of thousands of streams globally while making its way onto regional music charts.
The new release marks another chapter in the long-running musical partnership between DJ Tunez and Wizkid, who have worked closely together for nearly a decade. Since 2015, DJ Tunez has been signed to Starboy Entertainment, the label founded by Wizkid, where he also serves as the singer’s official disc jockey.
Over the years, the pair have delivered several fan-favourite records including “Gbese”, “Cool Me Down”, “Caution”, “Turn Up”, “Pami” and “One Condition”
