Davido Nigerian election became a major talking point after the Afrobeats superstar shared his political views during a livestream with Carter Efe. The award-winning singer confidently declared he could win any election conducted freely and fairly across Nigeria without electoral malpractice
Davido said, “Nobody can beat me in a free and fair election. I will win any election in Nigeria without rigging. I will go to the White House to meet Trump so they can allow free and fair election in Osun State.”
However, Davido clarified he currently has no plans to contest for any political office despite expressing confidence in his popularity nationwide. He explained that his remarks reflected public support rather than an announcement of future political ambitions.
Davido Nigerian election conversations also highlight his significant role in supporting his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke, throughout several political campaigns in Osun State. The singer actively attended campaign rallies, mobilized supporters, and publicly celebrated Adeleke’s electoral victories across the state during previous elections.
Osun State will hold its next governorship election on August 15, 2026, with political campaigns already gathering momentum across the state.
