Nigerian music star Davido has apologised to fans after failing to appear at a scheduled show, blaming unexpected travel disruptions that prevented him from arriving on time.
In a message shared with fans, the singer explained that a series of logistical issues disrupted his movement, including difficulties securing aviation fuel for his flight. According to him, the situation was beyond his control, describing it simply as a day where “the world happened” to him.
The missed appearance left many fans disappointed, especially those who had turned up in large numbers expecting to see the Afrobeats star perform. Social media quickly filled with reactions, with some expressing frustration while others showed understanding, acknowledging the unpredictable nature of travel, particularly within the region.
Davido, however, did not shy away from taking responsibility. He offered a direct apology to everyone affected, emphasising that he never takes his supporters for granted. He reassured fans that efforts are already underway to reschedule the show, promising that it would be worth the wait when it finally happens.
