Cute Abiola Opens Up on Struggles of Balancing Navy Life With Comedy Career

Nigerian comedian Abdulgafar Ahmad, better known by his stage name Cute Abiola, has talked candidly about the difficulties he encountered balancing his love of content production with his job in the Nigerian Navy.

Cute Abiola recently talked about his time in the Navy in an interview on HipTV, describing it as one of the most important times in his life.

He frequently worked six days a week to produce and release new video since he was dedicated to his entertainment ambitions despite the hard nature of his military duty.

When Cute Abiola was arrested by the Nigerian Navy in November 2021 for breaking social media usage rules, his trip took a dramatic turn.

As a penalty for his discharge, he was made to oversee gutter cleaning in the Navy barracks for a month.

But in November 2022, he declared his intention to leave the Navy in order to devote himself fully to his career in entertainment.

When Cute Abiola looked back on his history, he revealed that while his time in the Navy was a defining experience, he always understood that his true calling was his love of content creation.

He said that although his current circumstances may seem difficult, they were nothing in comparison to the struggles he endured while serving in the Navy.

Cute Abiola is now totally committed to his comedic career and is determined to keep entertaining his expanding fan base while leveraging his prior experiences as motivation to advance in the business.

He said, โ€œIโ€™ve done a lot of things that were tougher than my current situation. I used to be in the Nigerian navy.

โ€œThat time was the most critical part of my life, and I was still able to achieve shooting content and being in the navy. That was very, very hard.

โ€œI used to be at work from Mondays to Saturdays most times, and all my contents still used to be out there. In a week, I used to post twice or three times.

โ€œIโ€™m a very dedicated person because I know that Iโ€™m supposed to meet a target in my revenue. I have a target for myself, and I used that to motivate myself to make more than I made the previous month.

โ€œI was overwhelmed with regard to the approval of my exit from the Navy by the chief of naval staff so as for me to have enough time to passionately pursue my dreams.โ€
