Reality TV host Deeone has sparked social media backlash after asserting that Tanzanian musician Diamond Platnumz is wealthier than Burna Boy, Wizkid, and Davido, three of Nigeria’s top performers.

This statement follows Diamond Platnumz’s recent trip to Lagos for the celebrity-filled wedding of Nigerian influencer Priscilla Ojo and fellow Tanzanian musician Juma Jux.

Many were amazed by Diamond’s kindness when he was seen giving out $100 bills to everyone he saw during his visit.

Deeone said on social media that the Tanzanian celebrity had spent more than $350,000 while in Nigeria.

He asserted that the funds were used for extravagant expenditures at clubs, parties, and other wedding-related events in addition to sporadic giveaways.

He continued by criticising Nigerian musicians for not exhibiting the same generosity, calling them frugal and unreliable.

“Diamond Platunumz is richer than Davido, Wizkid and Burna together. I did not believe that this particular artist is this wealthy. This one is not noise, we are seeing the money. He came for Priscilla and Jux’s wedding and he has spent more than $350K….”
