Big Brother Naija Confirms Season 11 Return, Auditions to Open Soon

Nigeria’s biggest reality TV franchise, Big Brother Naija, is officially gearing up for its 11th season, with organisers confirming that auditions will open in the coming weeks.

The announcement came via a teaser released on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, across the show’s official social media platforms. The short clip was accompanied by the caption: “Biggie is calling. Are you ready to answer?” A follow-up message reinforced the reveal: “It’s back. Auditions coming soon!” The posts quickly sparked widespread excitement among fans online.

Broadcast on DStv and GOtv, the show continues to dominate Nigeria’s entertainment space, consistently generating massive viewership and social media engagement.

While organisers have yet to announce specific audition dates, venues, eligibility criteria, or the season’s theme and prize structure, industry observers expect details to be released shortly. Based on previous production cycles, auditions could follow a tight schedule once officially opened. Last season’s application window, for instance, lasted only a few days.

The upcoming edition follows Season 10, which premiered on July 26, 2025, featuring a record 29 housemates competing for a ₦150 million grand prize. That season also introduced a revamped Head of House format, adding new layers of strategy and competition.

Imisi Ayanwale emerged as the winner with 42.8 per cent of the public vote, joining past champions like Mercy Eke, Laycon, Whitemoney, Phyna, and Ilebaye, many of whom have leveraged the platform into successful entertainment and business careers.
