Fresh allegations have come to light which indicate the Benue State emergency agency have persistently diverted materials meant for Internally displaced persons.
Countless skirmishes between Fulani herdsmen and the people of Agatu have left hundreds of people dead and even more people displaced from Agatu and its neighboring villages.
A twitter user recounted her experience and alleged that the emergency agency routinely divert relief materials meant for IDP’s. The allegations are not new, with allegations leveled against several other state emergency agencies in the past while the appropriate authorities have seemingly folded their arms and allowed the looting continue.
