The first case of the dreaded Lassa fever has been reported in Lagos after the LASUTH scare occurred yesterday.

The patient- confirmed to be a 25-year old student from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria – is currently receiving treatment at the University of Lagos teaching Hospital (LUTH), Idi-Araba.

The patient is said to have been admitted first at a private hospital in Ojokoro area of Lagos State.
