Avala, former Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) housemate, has announced that she is expecting her first child with her partner, Fawazzy.
The couple shared the pregnancy news in a video posted on Instagram on Thursday, showing Avala’s baby bump as Fawazzy smiled beside her.
The announcement comes months after Fawazzy proposed to Avala in June.
The proposal took place in the presence of their friends and family. Avala later shared photos from the occasion on Instagram with the caption: “To whom it may concern… No longer available! Yours faithfully, A fiancée!!!!!! 💍🤍”.
Fawazzy also shared a photo from the proposal, writing: “She said YES!”
Reflecting on their relationship in another post, Avala described it as an “answered prayer”.
“The crazy thing is the plot got better than I imagined, because somewhere between the waiting and the wondering if I will ever have my own happy ending, God was writing our story,” she wrote.
“If you had told my younger self that one day I’d be loved this gently, I would have laughed at you, but now I cry happy tears. Forever looks a lot like answered prayers.
“Baebu … I love you always and forever, locked in.”
Avala was among the housemates on the fourth season of BBNaija, tagged ‘Pepper Dem’, which aired in 2019. She was evicted during the first week of the reality show.
