Barry has been evicted from the Big Brother Naija Season 11 finale after failing to garner enough public votes, making him the first finalist to leave the competition on Sunday night.
Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, the host, announced Barry’s eviction shortly after the live show began at 7 p.m. WAT.
His exit reduced the number of finalists from nine to eight in the race for the N160 million grand prize.
Barry’s eviction came despite a strong strategic run that saw him secure major advantages in the final stages of the competition.
He won the Ultimate Veto Power and opted for the ‘Immunity For All’ twist, saving the remaining housemates from eviction and securing the finale lineup.
He later claimed the final Head of House title of the season, his second HoH win.
However, his strategic achievements did not translate into enough public support. Voting for the finalists closed on Friday, October 2, at 9 p.m., with Barry ultimately receiving fewer votes than the other finalists.
His early exit means Aikou, Bluethopia, Flora, Oyin, Ricky, Sheba, Temi Nkem and Tram remain in contention for the crown.
