Many communities have been made desolate due to several bandits attack in the northern part of Nigeria. The Nigerian Army has tried to restore sanity and peace to the affected states, yet, the attacks keep increasing resulting into an exposure of the life and properties of Nigerians to a great risk.

The rising bandit attacks on the people of Northern Nigeria has definitely questioned the power of the government to provide security for the lives and properties of the people. Thus, an urgent solution must be provided to address the prevalent bandit attacks in that part of the country.

One effective way to deal with this is a collaboration between the local vigilantes and the Nigerian Army. When this is done, the Nigerian Army would not fight blindly since the local vigilantes would have pre-informed them of the whereabouts of the bandits and their manner of operation. This strategy was also used in Lagos to deal with the rising cultists attack during the lockdown era.

When the Government provides policies where the people and the security operatives can indeed work together for a safer community, the rate of bandits attacks would drastically reduce.
