Multi-talented award-winning film-maker, Gbenga Salu, has hinted on his latest project, a Christian TV Series titled True Scarlet.

The film-maker who is a graduate of the prestigious London Film School, has been apparently on social sabbatical due to his tight schedule on the TV Series.

Gbenga Salu is a film director, editor, cinematographer, cartoonist, visual effect artist and graphics artist. His recent works include a web TV series titled 10:10, and a short film, Boy Breadwinner.

Gbenga Salu started out as a music video director and he directed award-winning music videos such as Ten-Ten by Mohits Allstars, Omoba by D’Prince, TWO Legit, Believe in me and Atewo by T.W.O (Tunde and wunmi Obe), Tinko Angel by Jaywon ,Viva Africa by Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, Change your parade by Lynxxx, Ayeole and six feet by Infinity, Omo Jayejaye by Lagbaja among others.

On his facebook page, Gbenga posted that he had to resort to GREEN SCREEN EFFECT to aid the location of the film, a situation where scenes are shot behind green background and then edited to reveal a real life location through the use of computer software.

He Said:

“I will be posting some VISUAL EFFECTS works done on my upcoming christian TV Series: TRUE SCARLET. There goes the first one! So someone is thinking, “Mr director sir, can’t u just get a real location for this scene instead of stressing yourself with greenscreen?”

“Actually, there is no simple answer to that question. I could have easily said i was going for an ultra-retro-filterized depth of field look, but mehnn that will be a lie.

“Actually by the time u are nearing the very last kobo of your budget, withdrawn from every “people favour bank plc” for location that you know, estimated the stress of logistics of moving cast, crew and equipment around and then you think to yourself, come o… I can just shoot this thing on a chroma stage and do what i do BEST!
