Asake has cemented his place in music history as the first African artist to have five albums reach No. 1 on the United Kingdom Apple Music chart, following the success of his latest project, “M$NEY.”
The album, released on May 1, 2026, rises to the summit as his fifth chart-topping project in the UK, reinforcing his dominance as one of Afrobeats’ most commercially successful global exports. At the heart of this achievement is a formula Asake has mastered: consistent hit-making, strategic collaborations, and a sound that seamlessly blends local and international influences.

Spanning 13 tracks, “M$NEY” features guest appearances from Tiakola, DJ Snake, and Kabza De Small, underscoring his expanding global reach. The album is largely helmed by his longtime collaborator Magicsticks, whose production continues to shape Asake’s signature fusion of Afrobeats and Amapiano.
Beyond the music, Asake’s larger-than-life persona and storytelling, centred on gratitude, ambition, and individuality, have deepened his connection with fans worldwide. His ability to consistently deliver projects that dominate streaming platforms has made him a fixture at the top of the charts.
The milestone adds to an already impressive year, with Asake previously reaching No. 1 on the UK chart through his joint EP “REAL VOL 1” with Wizkid. With “M$NEY” also leading streaming charts in Nigeria and performing strongly globally, the record further highlights the sustained momentum behind his rise.
