Adekunle Gold Tells Apple Music Aboutย Stepping Into Fatherhood
It’s such an interesting journey for me.ย Every day I look at herย and I’m obsessed like, “Will this feeling ever go away?” I doubtย that it ever will. Being a girl dad is a such a responsibility thatย I’m so excited to take on. It feels good to know that I’m raising aย queen in this crazy world and then generally, it is influenced…ย Like some of the songs that I’ve written for new projects, that isย not out yet, you know.
Adekunle Goldย Tells Apple Music Aboutย Being Compared to Other Artists
If I sit here and say, “There’s no pressure,” I’ll be lying. Andย that’s because all of these things happen. You release a projectย that you worked on all your… like for like two years of your life,ย and then you put it out there and end up comparing it toย somebody else. You might think it’s okay to just put anythingย out there to bring somebody down. You don’t know how theyย deal with things. You know what I mean? You don’t know howย people deal with things. Creatives are spiritual people. We needย encouragement. So, I think we should desist from comparisons.ย Just enjoy the projects, just enjoy different artists, and then let’sย move the culture forward.
Adekunle Goldย Tells Apple Music Aboutย Whether There Will Be an Afro Pop Vol. 2
I think there might be. This is exclusive just for you guys.ย Yeah, I think that might be one. So, since 2018 I’ve beenย working on this album. In the middle of this one, I alreadyย started working on another album again. I have put it in myย laptop right now, just waiting to release. So I’m really excited.ย Yeah. So there might be volume two. You never know.
LootLove Shares Her Proverb of the Week
There’s a quote that I once saw years ago. Itย was on a billboard,ย and funny enough, was an alcohol brand. It said, “The wholeย world steps aside for the man,” and in this case, I’d like to sayย woman, “who knows where she’s going.” And I think that’sย exactly what’s happening with women right now. We’reย noย longer asking for permission. We’re no longer waiting for doorsย to open. We’re pushing them open. We’re moving forward.ย We’re making noise. We’re making statements.
