National Chairman of the All progressive Congress, Adams Oshiomole was booed and stoned at President Buhari‘s campaign rally in Ogun state.
According to Channels news, trouble started when he called the name of the party’s governorship candidate in the state, Mr Dapo Abiodun, while addressing the crowd.
The crowd at the MKO Abiola International Stadium on hearing the name became hostile and started booing and throwing things into the stage. Security operatives had to surround him to protect and it took Governor Ibikunle Amosun taking the stage to calm things down.
It wasn’t until after Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo spoke that calm returned. But it was short lived as the hostilities returned after President Buhari also took the stage and lifted the hand of the APC’s gubernatorial candidate in the state. The booing started again and the rally had to be stopped as the national anthem played.
