Annie Idibia is a model, presenter, actress, entrepreneur and most importantly the ‘African Queen’ of legendary musician Tuface Idibia. She presently has two children for the superstar who also is a father to five other children from two different women, Tuface’s escapades with woman is one aspect of the entertainer’s life (and career) which raises dust from time to time.
There is no doubting that many have fallen by the way for far lesser controversies, but the case seems different for 2baba who has created a balance with Annie as his pivotal compass. Somehow, the two other women and kids accepts Annie’s role as the ‘mother general’ of the family – a task she reveals is not a stroll in the park.
A few days ago, she posted to her ‘about 1 million followers’ on Instagram, a caption which reads ‘Anybody can be a mom, it takes someone special to be a step mom’. Annie has tried her best to treat the children (in public eye) the same way she treats her kids and many sources close to the family actually commends her efforts; but like she clearly stated and truly so, the task comes with a lot of challenges. In fact, many women dread the role of stepmom and see it as one of the ‘NOs” on their checklist to be considered before saying ‘I do’ to any man.
It will be recalled that Annie was nominated in the “Best Supporting Actress” category at the 2009 Best of Nollywood Awards. She maintains an illustrious career as a presenter/model and owns a beauty salon in Atlanta called “BeOlive Hair Studio”. Handling all of this and overseeing a family with seven kids is no easy task for the SlimTea Nigerian Brand Ambassador, you would agree.
