Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has accused colleagues of stealing the title of her unreleased film, Queen of Guns, claiming she invested almost ₦100 million in the trademarked project.
Okorie made the allegation in a video circulating on social media. She expressed frustration over what she described as an attempt to undermine her work.

The actress said Queen of Guns has not been released on YouTube or any other platform. She added that her Manchester fans would be the first audience before she takes the film to other cities.
However, Okorie alleged that other filmmakers went ahead to use the title. She also claimed that some productions used her recent promotional photos as thumbnails for unrelated films.
“Queen of Guns is not out yet. It’s not out on YouTube; it’s not out anywhere. Yet if you go to YouTube and type Queen of Guns, you will see that they have used the recent pictures that I was using to shoot the movie and made a poster, then brought out an old movie they shot over 10 years ago and called it Queen of Guns,” she said.
Actress calls out Zubby Michael
Okorie also directed her criticism at actor Zubby Michael. She questioned why he agreed to appear in a production carrying the same title as her trademarked film.
“Even Zubby, you accepted that kind of thing. How dare you? You shot a movie with a working title. Why did you not use your working title to push your work? That movie is what I shot with almost ₦100 million, and mine is trademarked,” she said.
A search on YouTube shows at least two films carrying the Queen of Guns title. One appeared about 11 months ago and features Okorie’s image as its thumbnail. Another appeared three weeks ago and features Zubby Michael.
Okorie said she trademarked the title to protect her project. She also questioned why other productions could use the name despite the trademark.
Neither Zubby Michael nor anyone connected to the other productions had publicly responded to Okorie’s allegations at the time of writing.
