The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Enoch Adeboye, has celebrated his wife, Foluke Adeboye, on her 78th birthday, saying she has made his life and ministry better.

In a tribute titled To My Lover, Foluke shared on X, the 84-year-old cleric looked back on their 58 years together and described her as his “greatest companion”.

“Great has been the journey of walking side by side with you,” he wrote.

“Today, on your 78th birthday, is a gift to me, to have the world join me in doing what I have spent 58 years doing: celebrating you.”

Adeboye praised his wife for her support throughout their marriage and ministry.

“With you, the weight of the assignment has always been a lighter cross to carry. Our two have agreed, and so our walking together has been of divine stride, a race continuously illuminated, step after step, decade after decade. My path shines brighter because I walk it with you.”

The cleric said many people know Foluke as “Mummy G.O.,” but he knows her as his wife, friend and confidante.

“With you, the weight of the assignment has always been a lighter cross to carry. Many people know you as Mummy G.O; I have the privilege of knowing you simply as my wife, my friend,” he added.

“Our children have been blessed because of your love. The family of God has been blessed because of your devotion.”

Adeboye and Foluke married in 1967 and have four children. The RCCG leader has often spoken publicly about his love for his wife. In 2023, he revealed that he prays for both of them “to be taken home together when the time comes”.
