Adam Sandler shared a heartfelt piece of advice with Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce while officiating their July 3 wedding. He encouraged the couple to make affection a daily habit.

Sandler’s Advice to the Newlyweds

Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid revealed the advice during an interview with CNN. The wedding took place at Madison Square Garden.

According to Reid, Sandler told the couple, “Kiss every chance you have. Every day. Whether you’re going to bed or going to work. Whenever, go ahead and kiss her.”

Reid said the message resonated with guests at the ceremony.

“Adam Sandler did a phenomenal job with the ceremony,” Reid said. He added that Sandler’s advice was “really touching” in the room.

Reid Praises Sandler’s Role

Reid also praised the actor for balancing humour with emotion during the event.

“How he went about bringing a little bit of humour and a bit of sensitivity to what was going on. There were a lot of people from different worlds, and he brought them all together,” Reid said.

Wedding Details Confirmed

A press release issued after the ceremony confirmed Sandler’s role as officiant.

The statement noted that Swift and Kelce did not have bridesmaids or groomsmen. Instead, Austin Swift served as Taylor’s Man of Honour, while Jason Kelce was Travis’ Best Man.

It also stated: “The ceremony joined both families together and was officiated by friend Adam Sandler.”

Sandler and Kelce’s Friendship

Sandler and Kelce have built a friendship in recent years. Kelce appeared in Happy Gilmore 2, which streamed on Netflix last year.

During the film’s promotional tour, Sandler spoke warmly about the NFL star.

“Travis is such a gentle, nice guy, and funny as hell,” Sandler told Entertainment Tonight. “He’s like the guys I grew up with. When I was with Travis, it reminded me of my buddies in high school and just being able to laugh and say the things you want to say.”

Sandler was among hundreds of celebrity guests at the wedding. Reports said the event had a guest list of about 1,000 people.
