James Holmes, the gunman who attacked a cinema in Colorado two years ago and opened fire on movie watchers has been sentenced today. The attack left twelve people dead.
Yesterday, a Jury in Colorado sentenced him to life in prison after he was found guilty of all charges brought against him. Although his lawyers argued that 27 year old James was mentally ill at the time of the shooting, his defense only spared him the death penalty.
He has been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
