The third attack in Afghanistan in 24 hours has claimed the lives of 20 cadets. In an attack which the Taliban has already claimed responsibility for the attack on police cadets which left as many as 27 people injured.
The Taliban targeted the Kabul Police academy in a third attack after a suicide bomber detonated explosives in a truck killing an estimated 15 people.

The Taliban has stepped up attacks just a week after confirming that its former leader, Mullah Omar, is dead. It is unclear who the new leader of the Taliban is but it is clear that Afghanistan is facing its worst series of attacks in years.
