Vee, the former Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) housemate, has returned to music with a new single titled ‘Secret’, ending an almost five-year break from releasing music.
The reality TV star announced the song’s release in an Instagram post, expressing excitement about returning to the music scene after an extended hiatus.
“My secret is out. It’s been almost five years since I released music, and I’m happy to be back, better than ever. We’re just getting started,” she wrote.
Vee’s return marks a new chapter in her music career, which she continued to pursue after gaining prominence on the fifth season of BBNaija, where she emerged as one of the finalists.
Following her appearance on the reality show, she released ‘Show’ in December 2020, marking her first single after the competition.
In October 2021, she followed up with ‘Young and Reckless’, a five-track extended play (EP) featuring Laycon, the winner of BBNaija’s fifth season.
Before joining the reality show, Vee had already established an interest in music, releasing several singles, including ‘Feenin’ and ‘Ecstasy’ in 2017.
She later released ‘On & On’ in 2019 before venturing into the BBNaija house.
In April 2022, the singer also released ‘Let Dem Say’, adding to her growing catalogue.
Her new single, ‘Secret’, signals her return to music after the release of those earlier projects and years away from putting out new material.
