WWE and The Walt Disney Company are teaming up for a two-day wrestling event at Walt Disney World Resort in December. The programme will feature the John Cena Classic and an ‘Avengers: Doomsday’-themed edition of ‘Worlds Collide’.
The events will take place at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex on December 14 and 15. The partnership also builds on WWE’s existing relationship with ESPN.
John Cena Classic to kick off events
The John Cena Classic will open the programme on December 14. WWE stars, including Cody Rhodes, are expected to take part.
Members of Club WWE, the wrestling promotion’s fan membership programme, will vote in real time for their favourite superstar of the night.
The winner will receive the John Cena Classic Championship. The event will also stream live on Netflix as a special edition of ‘Monday Night Raw’.
‘Worlds Collide’ gets Avengers theme
The premium live event ‘Worlds Collide’ will follow on December 15. It will feature WWE superstars alongside wrestlers from lucha libre promotion AAA, which WWE acquired in 2025.
The event will take inspiration from Marvel’s upcoming film, ‘Avengers: Doomsday’. The movie is scheduled to hit cinemas on December 18, three days after the wrestling show.
WWE to offer exclusive merchandise
WWE and Fanatics will also bring WWE World to the venue on both days. The fan experience will offer exclusive merchandise, as well as photo and autograph opportunities with WWE superstars.
The wrestling promotion will also produce and sell co-branded ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ products. The collection will include championship title belts.
Fans will be able to purchase the items at WWE World, through WWEShop.com and at selected Disney retail stores.
Two-day combo tickets will go on sale through Ticketmaster on November 13 at 10 am ET. General presales will begin on November 12 at the same time.
