Jimmy Odukoya, senior pastor of Fountain of Life Church, has remarried years after his separation from his first wife, Oluwakemi Sade Banjoko, saying he had been doing the work of ministry alone before finding his new partner.
The actor-turned-cleric introduced his new wife, identified as Mo, to his congregation during a church service on Sunday.
At the altar, Odukoya described her as “flesh of my flesh, bone of my bone, my left and right ribs, my sure guy” before presenting her as his wife and the church’s new first lady.
“Ever since I became your pastor, I have been doing this work of life alone, and the Bible says it isn’t good. So, when I saw her, I said, ‘This is the flesh of my flesh, bone of my bone, my left and right ribs, my sure guy’. Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to introduce to you for the first time, Pastor Mrs Mo Odukoya. Your first lady, my wife,” he said.
The public introduction came hours after the cleric hinted at the relationship in an Instagram post. He shared a photograph showing his hand and that of his fiancée, both wearing rings, with the caption, “To new beginnings”.
The marriage marks Odukoya’s second, following the end of his previous union with Banjoko.
The former couple married in London in March 2013 and had two children together before their separation.
Odukoya’s latest marriage comes as he continues his leadership at Fountain of Life Church, where he became senior pastor in September 2023.
