Ayra Starr and ZAYN’s ‘Heaven Baby’ Hits Number One on UK Official Afrobeats Chart

Ayra Starr and ZAYN’s “Heaven Baby” has reached number one on the UK Official Afrobeats Chart, marking another milestone for Nigerian music. The collaboration climbed from third place to the summit in the chart covering October 18 to October 24, 2026.

According to the Official Charts Company, “Heaven Baby” previously peaked at number two before securing its first chart-topping position. The achievement follows eight weeks of chart competition, during which Victony’s “SLICK” dominated the top position throughout its entire run. However, “SLICK” reached the chart’s thirteen-week limit and exited the ranking, creating an opportunity for another song to lead.

“Heaven Baby” capitalised on that opening, rewarding Ayra Starr and ZAYN with a major achievement on one of Britain’s leading Afrobeats charts. The track combines Ayra Starr’s Nigerian Afropop appeal with ZAYN’s international pop and R&B profile, bringing different audiences together.

For Ayra Starr, the milestone strengthens her growing international presence and reinforces her position among Nigeria’s most prominent contemporary music exports. Meanwhile, ZAYN’s participation introduces the former One Direction member to listeners following the UK Afrobeats chart and its expanding musical influence.

The song’s chart performance also highlights the continued reach of Afrobeats beyond Africa, as Nigerian artists increasingly attract international audiences. Fans have followed the collaboration’s progress since its chart debut on August 29, when it entered the ranking at number two.

Now, “Heaven Baby” stands at the summit, giving both performers a significant achievement as their collaboration continues attracting listeners across markets.
