Dave Touches Down in Nigeria Ahead of Historic Lagos Concerts

British-Nigerian rapper Dave touches down in Nigeria ahead of his highly anticipated Lagos concerts, marking a major moment for local music fans. The award-winning artiste brings his acclaimed ‘The Boy Who Played the Harp Tour’ to Lagos for two performances this weekend.

Dave will perform on October 16 and 17 at the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and Creative Arts, formerly the National Theatre. The concerts mark his first-ever headline shows in Nigeria, giving fans an opportunity to experience his music live on home soil.

Known professionally as Santan Dave, the London-born rapper has built an international following through thoughtful lyrics, storytelling, and distinctive production. His Nigerian heritage adds significance to the homecoming, strengthening his connection with audiences who have followed his career across borders.

Dave recently collaborated with Nigerian superstar Tems on ‘Raindance’, a track that further connected British rap with contemporary Nigerian music. He also worked with Burna Boy on ‘Location’, helping introduce his sound to wider Afrobeats audiences around the world.

Fans can expect an exciting live experience featuring music from his acclaimed catalogue and his latest album, ‘The Boy Who Played the Harp’. The Lagos concerts also serve as the grand finale of his global tour, making the Nigerian stop particularly meaningful for supporters.

Organisers selected the Surulere venue for the two-night run, giving concertgoers opportunities to attend either Friday or Saturday’s performance. With excitement building around his arrival, Nigerian fans are preparing to welcome the rapper whose music continues to connect audiences worldwide.

Dave’s Lagos visit celebrates his Nigerian roots while bringing an international touring production to one of the country’s leading cultural cities.
