Daniel Dubois backs Tyson Fury to beat Anthony Joshua in their heavyweight showdown scheduled for December 11 in Cardiff, Wales. The reigning heavyweight champion shared his prediction while discussing the long-awaited British boxing rivalry attracting worldwide attention from boxing fans.
Dubois believes Fury possesses the qualities needed to overcome Joshua, although he admitted predicting the winner remains a difficult decision. Speaking to Sky Sports, Dubois described both fighters as legends and expressed hope that their highly anticipated contest finally happens. “ I think Fury wins,” Dubois said, explaining his choice while acknowledging the significance of this major heavyweight encounter for boxing.
The prediction carries extra interest because Dubois previously defeated Joshua through a fifth-round knockout during their September 2024 heavyweight championship fight. That victory strengthened Dubois’s reputation as a dangerous puncher and provided another talking point ahead of Joshua’s upcoming clash with Fury.
Meanwhile, Fury enters the contest following two victories in 2026 after returning from retirement following consecutive defeats against Oleksandr Usyk. Joshua has also resumed his career, securing victories over Jake Paul and Kristian Prenga after suffering his devastating defeat against Dubois.
The December showdown promises substantial attention because both British heavyweights possess established fanbases and ambitions to reclaim championship glory. Dubois currently prepares for his own rematch against Fabio Wardley, scheduled for October 17, while defending his World Boxing Organization heavyweight title.
He has also expressed interest in fighting Fury eventually, provided both heavyweights win their upcoming contests and promoters negotiate successfully. Boxing fans now await December’s blockbuster encounter, which could reshape the heavyweight division and determine future championship opportunities for both fighters.
