Yinka Quadri, the veteran Yoruba actor, has revealed that his wife, Sadiat, knew about his relationships with other actresses but still welcomed and cared for them in their home.
The actor shared the experience in a snippet of an interview on African A List. He said his wife remained friendly with his female colleagues despite knowing about his affairs with some of them.
Quadri explained that some actresses even approached Sadiat to gossip about his relationships. However, his wife did not confront them, even when she knew they were also dating him.
“At some point, some female colleagues in the industry will approach my wife to gossip that I’m dating other actresses, even though I’m also dating some of the very actresses who gossip about me. My wife knows about it and doesn’t fight with them,” he said.
The actor also revealed that Sadiat sometimes hosted the actresses after late-night film productions. She would feed and look after them despite knowing about their relationships with her husband.
“Sometimes, when we finish production late, and some of them come to sleep at my house, my wife feeds and takes care of them despite knowing that I’m dating them.”
Quadri’s account highlights how his wife handled his relationships with colleagues throughout his acting career.
The actor met Sadiat in 1985, and they married in 1989. Their marriage has produced children and grandchildren.
