The Future Awards Africa Jury has been announced for its 20th edition, themed “Celebrating the Redefiners: Africa’s AI Generation” today. TFAA continues celebrating young Africans aged 18 to 35 whose work influences communities, industries, and the continent across diverse sectors.
Its rigorous selection process begins with nominations, followed by scrutiny, independent auditing, and final decisions from the Jury for recipients. According to Executive Director Ayodeji Razaq, the panels will strengthen credibility, independence, fairness, and integrity throughout this milestone edition ahead.
The Jury features Lanre Olusola, Obi Asika, Olufemi Oguntamu, Dapo Otunla, Ayo Mairo-Ese, and Ayodeji Razaq across multiple sectors today. Lanre Olusola brings expertise in behavioural change psychology, executive coaching, and leadership development to the judging process this year carefully.
Obi Asika founded Storm 360, co-founded Social Media Week Lagos, and serves as Director-General of Nigeria’s National Council for Arts. Olufemi Oguntamu leads Penzaarville Africa, while Dapo Otunla contributes extensive human resources and business leadership experience to TFAA across sectors.
Ayo Mairo-Ese brings broadcast journalism experience from Arise TV, while Razaq contributes expertise spanning marketing, media, and technology today globally.
The Independent Audit Committee includes professionals covering public policy, communications, development, technology, gender advocacy, civic participation, and business across Africa.
Members include Adejoh Idoko Momoh, Dipo Adesida, Seun Akinyemi, Solape Akinpelu, Yinka Obebe, Lala Akindoju, and Yemisi Sophie Odusanya today. The committee also features Bayo Omoboriowo, Ayisat Agbaje Okunade, Gbemileke Oscar Oyinsan, and Hamzat Lawal from diverse professional fields across sectors.
TFAA says the independent committee will maintain transparency, while the Jury determines final recipients after earlier selection stages this year. Throughout two decades, TFAA has recognised emerging leaders across entrepreneurship, technology, creative industries, media, public service, and social impact across Africa.
The Future Awards Africa enters its 20th edition, continuing its mission of celebrating remarkable young Africans creating change across communities.
